Fantastic Feats: the building of London

Wednesday 16 January 2019

Premm was recently asked to design the creative for this exciting event series by the City of London.

This six-month long season of street theatre and circus, art installations, live performance, exhibitions and walks and tours celebrates the towering triumphs of architecture, invention and engineering. Inspired by several important historical anniversaries, including: 200th birthdays of Sir Joseph Bazalgette, the inventor of London’s sewer system and Sir Horace Jones, architect and designer of Tower Bridge among other City landmarks; 125 years since the completion of Tower Bridge and 150 years since Blackfriars Bridge and Holborn Viaduct opened.

We felt a photographic montage would suit the outcome well as it allowed us to create an image that would both reflect aspects of London’s architecture and also implement the arts side of the events. We took influences from ‘steam punk’ culture to create a fun and inviting creative for the audience.
