BBC Proms – branding the world’s largest classical music festival

Following the highly acclaimed 2012 Proms season the BBC invited Premm to work again on the creative for the 2013 festival. The world’s largest classical music festival was launched by Roger Wright (Controller, BBC Radio 3 and Director, BBC Proms) last week at the Royal College of Music. As accessible as ever, across 90 concerts from 12 July through to 7 September the BBC Proms offers a summer of music-making that allows for the most diverse and exciting journeys. Highlights include the first ever performance of Wagner’s four Ring cycle operas in a single Proms festival, two Doctor Who Proms (in the 50th-birthday year of the ever-popular TV series), and also firsts for a Gospel Prom, an Urban Music Prom and a late night 6 Music Prom featuring Laura Marling, Cerys Matthews, The Stranglers and the London Sinfonietta. With you every breath of the way

The Asthma UK 2011 – 2012 Impact Report reflects on the past year of the organisation’s activities in research, campaigning, education and fundraising in support of people coping with asthma. With design and layout by Premm Design, following the charity’s corporate guidelines, the 16 page document includes several examples of infographics to communicate a variety of asthma-related statistics in an accessible and engaging way. Create the Debate

Premm were recently invited to tender for the Create the Debate schools pack by the Parliament’s Education Service. The campaign was devised to encourage debating in the classroom for KS3, 4 and 5 across a range of lessons, including Citizenship, Politics & Government and BTEC Public Services. The pack is intended to be used in conjunction with BBC Three’s Free Speech online videos. Premm designed the multiple ‘clockwork teeth’ imagery to add a sense of fun to the campaign, and to represent the idea of many voices in a debating scenario. Christmas countdown with BBC Club

‘Tis the season to be jolly, but also to take advantage of a dozen special offers for BBC employees, courtesy of this year’s Christmas campaign from BBC Club. Premm have produced a mini 26-page concertina leaflet  with details of each promotion in the ‘Christmas jumper’ style adopted for the campaign. Posters and menus have also been created to encourage BBC Club members to get involved during December!

Record delegate numbers for London Investor Show

Premm were commissioned by Investor Conferences to create the branding for this years London Investor Show. Hosted by London Stock Exchange the show is held on an annual basis at Olympia. Geared towards providing independent education and information to investors of all levels. The London Investor Show provides delegates with a forum to meet and speak to exhibitors, attend workshops and free seminars and listen to the views of some of the top investment experts in the country. This years event attracted record delegate numbers, plans for the 2013 show include an expanded programme of investment workshops, covering medium to longer-term investing, portfolio construction and management, EIS, Investment Trusts, and more live panel sessions. The London Investor Show 2013 will also feature an exhibition of AIM companies, presenting in the AIM Auditorium and available to meet delegates during the day.

Inspiring children in the build up to the Olympics

Having designed a number of education packs for the BBC, Premm were approached by BBC Learning to design and produce an Assemblies Teacher’s Pack to build up to the 2012 London Olympics. The pack features stories about children around the world, and athletes as they prepare to compete in the Olympics. The assembly plans cover topics from teamwork, inspiration and overcoming obstacles and tie in with 12 short videos supplied within the pack.

The stage is set

Having designed the branding for the BBC Proms 2012, Premm were pleased to attend the launch at the Royal College of Music last night. With much anticipation, Roger Wright (Controller, BBC Radio 3 and Director, BBC Proms) introduced the full season of 92 concerts running from Friday 13 July through to the Last Night of the Proms on Saturday 8 September. As accessible as ever, the BBC Proms 2012 features music composed by the likes of Wagner through to a new commission by Wallace [of Wallace and Gromit fame] – surely a feast of music with something for everyone. Love music: help musicians

Following the success of the supporters campaign designed by Premm, The Musicians Benevolent Fund approached us to design the look and feel for their Gold and Platinum Partners initiative. The MBF have been helping musicians through times of hardship for more than 90 years. If you love music, you can help the MBF to give musicians in crisis the immediate support they need. Life as a musician is tough and there is no safety net when a musician becomes ill or has an accident, experiences an injury or succumbs to the stresses of the profession with either performance anxiety or emotional breakdown. On with the show

International Confex 2012 is currently on at ExCel London, with branding by Premm. Following a successful pitch in June 2011, we went on to produce a new logo and creative brand visual for this prestigious gathering of event-related organisations. Our varied remit ranged from direct influence on the look and feel of the website, production of event collateral, press advertising and HTML email templates, to the provision of our artwork files to enable UBM Live to apply the branding throughout the event space itself. Re-planting PR Landscapes

We’ve just finished designing a new identity for PR Landscapes, a garden, landscaping and grounds maintenance team based in Chessington, Surrey. The identity consists of a logotype and monogram combining the letters ‘P’ and ‘R’, the initials of company owner, Paul Reisinger. The clean and simple graphic elements and restrained colour palette reflect the team’s careful and considered approach to work ranging from lawns, tree surgery and hedges to ponds, drives and wooden structures. The identity has been applied to stationery and vehicles so far, and will be rolled out across print, sweatshirts and the team’s website in the near future.
