New opera in new ways

Premm were excited to attend the launch of Mahogany Opera Group last Thursday. From January this year The Opera Group and Mahogany Opera joined forces, building on their combined strengths to create even greater possibilities for future opera projects. Premm won the tender last September to design their new brand, create their launch marketing materials and provide consultation on the look and feel of the recently launched website by module. Fundamental to Mahogany Opera Group is the spirit of adventure and enquiry and a commitment to developing new ways of creating and producing opera.

The launch event included a taster of the exciting and diverse productions to come over the forthcoming season, featuring Gloria – A Pigtale. HK Gruber’s cabaret opera, set in a burlesque butcher’s shop, follows a lonely pig looking for love against a darkly comic back-drop of fascist politics!
