Who doesn’t like free beer, free food and not to mention… FREE PAPER?! As designers we tend to get a tad excited by new ranges and stocks. So, when our newest recruit Jessica got the opportunity to tag along with designer and blogger friend Natasha to G.F Smith’s launch party for their new Gmund Applied collection, she jumped at the chance.
Held in the basement of Bierschenke, London’s Authentic Munich Beer Hall at Moorgate. We descended down the steps and were greeted by a designer’s dream! A little workshop with the guys from Downey & Co printers, gave the opportunity to try your hand at embossing and foiling using traditional methods, whilst also showing how versatile the new stock is. And not to mention personalised lettering, on offer by the familiar face of Mike Meyers and Better Letters (who Sophie has done a hand lettering workshop with in the past). All these keepsakes were of course, on the beautiful new G.F Smith Gmund Applied stocks.
All in all, Jessica and Natasha enjoyed their night networking and being surrounded by designers, printers and creatives alike, from all corners of the design industry and we look forward to the next event. Thank you to G.F Smith for an excellent night and not to mention all the goodies!
