Discover the secrets of Hampton Court Palace with The Great Garden Game! After being approached by Historic Royal Palaces Premm was asked to create materials to engage and excite children and families visiting this historic site.
This was a terrific design brief for us to work with, as we were allowed to be more experimental with the formats we used and production processes involved; to enhance the visitor experience of discovering Hampton Court Palace.
The materials we produced comprised of a large interactive fold-out map, with hidden perforated doors, and an accompanying leaflet which used a simple die cut to create a sealed mission envelope. They provide an interactive user experience, with an extra sense of secrecy and adventure. Within these, children were asked to find clues, complete dot-to-dots and answer questions, to discover more about the location.
Another great aspect of this project was the opportunity for us to commission Andy Council to illustrate the map, which added another level to the users’ engagement and overall experience of the activity.
We are looking forward to working closely with HRP on forthcoming event trails.
