Shakespeare’s Globe is a world-renowned theatre, education centre, and cultural landmark based on the South Bank in London. The Globe’s highly successful schools programme, Playing Shakespeare, is supported by Deutsche Bank and provides tickets to young people for a series of special Shakespeare productions. Over the past seven years, The Globe has commissioned us to produce the look and feel for the Playing Shakespeare programme. Our approach was to focus on impactful visuals for each production that supports the young audience to immediately identify the play’s main themes; from love or greed to jealousy, justice and mercy. The identities are applied to all assets associated with the production, including programmes, posters, flags, web assets and even branding of the theatre’s external walls using a ‘brick wrap’ technique.
