Looking back and moving forward

Monday 25 January 2016

A slightly delayed look back on 2015 – another busy year for Premm! The last twelve months featured our usual varied selection of projects, from mindfulness opera to super-powered sweetcorn! 2016 is already nearly a month old, but hopefully it is not to late to wish everyone a belated Happy New Year!

A mindfulness opera

Friday 06 November 2015

Premm had the great pleasure of recently working on the latest production by Mahogany Opera Group, Lost in Thought, the world’s first ‘mindfulness opera’. Based on the classic structure of an extended meditation, it explores the points of contact between sound and silence in music and meditation.  The production has been specially designed for an intimate audience, with the boundaries between performer and audience blurring as you go on an inner journey of mindfulness, with periods of meditation,...

A madness shared by two

Monday 12 January 2015

Premm recently created the marketing image for Mahogany Opera Group‘s new production Folie À Deux. With music by Emily Hall, and words by Sjon, the opera is based on a story of Insanity, electricity and love. The opposite of love is sausage…

Wednesday 14 May 2014

Described as a ‘cabaret opera’ Gloria – A Pigtale combines an eclectic mix of musical styles and dark comic plot lines. Premm had the pleasure of attending the preview evening last night at The Albany in South London, having worked on the promotional materials and the programme for the production. With singing frogs, sausage curtains and dancing hotdogs the piece took a refreshing contemporary approach to opera. We wanted this to reflect within the programme, so a strong contrast...

New opera in new ways

Tuesday 28 January 2014

Premm were excited to attend the launch of Mahogany Opera Group last Thursday. From January this year The Opera Group and Mahogany Opera joined forces, building on their combined strengths to create even greater possibilities for future opera projects. Premm won the tender last September to design their new brand, create their launch marketing materials and provide consultation on the look and feel of the recently launched website by module. Fundamental to Mahogany Opera Group is the spirit of adventure...
